SmartGen

The SmartGen (S2-M) is a compact and secure single phase electricity meter that delivers a cost effective solution for electricity supplies and solar PV applications enabling the monitoring of consumption, generation and export.

The S2-M meter benefits from integration with the Orsis WRFOS2 GPRS communication module. An RF model is also available to create a wireless mesh across a site for local communication between devices. This product has been designed with precision and reliability in mind for remote monitoring and data transmission via GRPS protocols.

The kWh energy data is transmitted to the Orsis Back Office system for data validation. Energy data can be forwarded to the Orsis Sunrise and Energize Portals, Energy Suppliers, Data Collectors/ Data Aggregators or other third party data platforms.

The data retrieved can be used by the consumer to understand their energy consumption or generation levels, manage their fiscal and environmental costs and report meter readings for Feed in Tariff collection.

Elster A1140

The Elster A1140 meter is a three phase electricity meter supplied in either whole current of CT enabled versions. It is a compact and secure meter that delivers a cost effective solution for three phase installations.

Two way communication via either the GPRS Mobile Data Network or an Ethernet secure VPN tunnel enables different registers to be collected from the meter. Energy data is transmitted using a direct connection to the Orsis Local Data Concentrator (LDC) for data verification for Suppliers and Data Collectors/Aggregators and integration into third party aM&T systems.

The data gathered can be analysed by the end user to understand energy consumption levels and manage their fiscal and environmental costs. In addition to primary billing settlement, the meter can be used in a sub-meter configuration to integrate energy consumption data into aM&T or facilities and energy management systems. The A1140 meter is suitable for measuring both generation and exported energy from solar PV systems. Half Hourly data can be display on the Orsis Sunrise and Energize Portals, Energy Suppliers, Data Collectors/ Data Aggregators or other third party data platforms. Meter readings can be submitted for Feed-in Tariff collection.

Local Data Concentrator

The LDC has been manufactured to communicate with the Orsis range of multi-utility data loggers and electric meters via a secure, low energy 433MHz RF mesh wireless network. The mesh is self-healing, so if a device loses connection it will automatically find an alternative route. The network is therefore resilient and always on.

The LDC transmits data via a GPRS or Ethernet secure VPN tunnel to the Orsis AMM Back Office system for validation and delivery.

The communication path is two-way, enabling remote configuration of the meters and data loggers and remote software upgrades.

The LDC can support up to 100 wireless connections and 9 direct connected devices, this can considerably reduce CAPEX and OPEX costs by reducing the number of transmission devices required.

PV Connection Unit

The PV connection unit fully complies with the 17th edition third amendment changes* and has been specifically designed for the remote metering and monitoring of solar PV installations, creating a simple single connection point for the mains AC connections.

The connection units are the perfect way to compliantly, efficiently and neatly integrate all solar PV AC connections

* Due to the number of consumer unit fires reported within domestic properties regulation 421.1.201 has been added to BS 7671: 2008, which requires consumer units and similar switchgear to have their enclosures manufactured from non-combustible material or to be enclosed in a cabinet constructed from non-combustible material.

Combined Sensor

The CO2SS combined sensor is part of the RF range of the Orsis product portfolio and can be supplied as either a mains or battery powered device.

This product measures temperature, relative humidity and carbon dioxide levels. The data is transmitted via 433MHz RF to the LDC or other Orsis RF enabled communication devices.

By monitoring these factors, together with remote metering of utilities, it is possible to measure the effects of energy savings measures installed such as insulation, LED lighting or energy efficient heating systems.

RF Data Logger

The Orsis RF Data Logger has been designed to interoperate with all primary and sub-meters from any utility provided there is a pulsed output available from the meter. The RF Data Logger can therefore retrieve data from electricity, gas and water meters, other flow meters such as oil, diesel and LPG and heat meters.

The logger communicates via a secure, low energy meshed 433MHz wireless network through either a GRPS or Ethernet secure VPN tunnel to the Orsis AMM back office system for data validation and storage. The meshed network is self-healing, ensuring ‘always on’ communication for data retrieval and transmission.

The communication path is two-way, enabling remote configuration of the meters and data loggers and remote software upgrades.

The RF Data Logger communication range can be extended as the Loggers can also communicate with each other, allowing onward communication with more distant meters from a single Local Data Concentrator.

CT Data Logger

The COAMCT electricity data logger is a non-intrusive and cost effective way of collecting energy consumption data from both single and three phase electricity supplies.

Designed specifically with impact assessments in mind where it is extremely difficult to access energy consumption data in domestic properties on large scale roll outs. The clamp on current transformer and standard three pin plug mean it is simple to retrieve energy consumption data to understand usage patterns as well as monitoring payback time scales for energy saving measures.

The COAMCT measures electric energy (kWh), import/export direction, voltage, current, frequency, power factor and instantaneous power of the electricity supply.

The logger communicates via a secure, low energy meshed 433MHz wireless network to the Orsis Local Data Concentrator or other Orsis RF enabled communication devices. Data is then sent via either a GRPS or Ethernet secure VPN tunnel to the Orsis AMM Back Office system for data validation. This information can be forwarded to the Orsis Energize Portal or other third party data platforms.
